I have spent all 18 years of my life living and studying in Hong Kong. Since my parents divorced, my mother has been in charge financially of putting me through all the levels of my education using her earnings from her privately owned business. I have had a strained relationship with my father since the divorce. I probably see him once every three years. This is because he does not really show any interest in me as his child. So, my mother and I do not pay attention to him either.
I have done my best to do her proud by achieving good grades at the TWGHs LCD College, a community college in Hong Kong from the year 200-2006. After graduating, I decided to further study at the Dean College in Franklin, MA. I have been attending the college since January 2006.
My mother knows that I have always had a keen interest in International Relations, History and Economics. So it is no wonder to her that I wish to pursue a course for my future that will blend my three interests seamlessly. I see myself becoming an International Relations lawyer in the future so I believe that I need to have a solid foundation in these three courses if I want to become a good lawyer and eventually get my masters degree.
The reason I chose Georgetown University is really a matter of wanting to follow in the footsteps of two of the most influential political figures of our times. President Bill Clinton and his wife, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton both attended your prestigious university and went on to achieve many great things in the legal and political world. I would be very happy to walk the same halls as they did and be inspired by the same inspirations they had while attending the school. Also, the university is located in Washington D.C., the political center of the United States and the most inspirational place in the world for any aspiring lawyer and politician such as myself.
