A Perfect Snow Day

Table of Content

It was going to be a perfect family snow day. It was…It was a snowy day. Mia woke up and quickly went to the kitchen to have breakfast. All her family, her dad, her mom and Teddy(her little brother), were there eating breakfast. They started talking, and they decide to go on a snow day. They get prepared, and after, they got to the car and start the journey. The landscape was beautiful with all the snow, they were listening to music… Until… PUMMM! Everything stops. She starts seeing blurry. Then all is black. WEWO! WEWO!… She opens her eyes, she’s all surrounded by doctors. Then all is black. COME ON FAST!… She opens her eyes, she’s in an ambulance and all her body is plenty of blood. Then all is black. BIP. BIP. BIP…. She feels she opens her eyes, she is in a coma state.

This book is written in a way that she explains her life in present time and at the same time her life in pasttime. I have interpreted, that it is written this way because all the time that Mia explains her life before the accident is because she is remembering the best and most important moments of her life to decide if it is worth it or not to stay. But this decision is not so easy, since in this decision they specially influence: Gramps, her grandparent, Adam, her boyfriend, Kim, her best friend, and her close family.

His family, Teddy and his parents, died in the accident, and that makes her very hesitant, he knows that if his parents were alive, what they would want for her is to stay, but having to endure so desperately to be without his family, is very hard too.

On the other hand, there is Kim, she has been her best friend for a long time, and she has made live Mia her best moments in life; As for example in the barbecues, which made her spend a good time even though not everything went well, or when on Shabbat, (Kim is Jewish) they did the Jala together, and they had a great time. She tells Mia to please stay, that even if she no longer has her parents or her brother, she still has a family.
