I’m a member of the teaching profession. My passion is to create a reproducible way to enable students to acquire language skills as a second language. This will involve immigrants, English learning, and the acquisition of the Spanish language by mainstream students. The master’s program will help me develop both current knowledge and the techniques necessary for improved performance in the classroom. Some considerations follow:
My choice of a local ground campus will allow me the freedom to study fully at my own pace. This allows me to work full-time while I seek my graduate studies utilizing both traditional and more modern methods.
Diversity in the graduate courses and the people attending them will enrich my educational experiences. This will be particularly evident in the teams in which we will work. I look forward to learning how to organize effective behavioral objectives. Then during student teaching it will be stimulating to watch the students form new attitudes toward language. This expression will follow all of them for a lifetime.
In conclusion, there are many reasons or motivations in being involved in a master’s
program. The greatest of all will be the gratitude of the many students who will come through my door.
