In retrospection of my past experience, I have learned that to become successful in life, a person must pursue his/her avid aspirations with hardwork, persistence and determination to accomplish, and it with these hallmark qualities that I have chased my dreams. I strive with a steadfast determination to become a computer scientist adept in inventing and designing new technologies and finding new uses for existing technology to optimize various career services in diverse industries. My curiosity for computers began to develop during the first computer science course that I took in high school. Learning about the computer world and how its technology has spurred numerous medical breakthroughs and enhanced other aspects of life marveled me, thus increasing my passion for a career in technological field. It is in attaining a career as a computer scientist that I will be able to contribute in developing sophisticated equipment that aid economic developments and enhance positive global changes.
The world is forever-changing global village that requires the services of professionals with high technological proficiencies to provide solutions to evolving complex problems. Becoming a computer scientist, my aspiration is to join a team of skilled professionals that are skilled in applying mathematical analysis, logical cogency and ingenuity, through the usage of abstractions, paying attention to details and hidden assumptions, to develop elegant solutions that utilized in solving complex problems. I will also engage in duties in full life cycle application development, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, object-oriented design and analysis, software modeling and simulation, evaluating and identifying new technologies for implementation. Studying Computer Science with a minor in Physics and Mathematics at Dillard University, I have engaged in research projects with my professors to hone my technical skills.
I was a member of the robotics team that assembled and operationalized a NXT 2.0 LEGO Forklift robot at Dillard University. My participation in this project helped me to ascertain more knowledge and understanding about the application of programming concepts in the real world environment. In addition, I have been able to advance my scientific knowledge through research works. All these activities add to my versatility, diversity as well as increase my flexibility mode to diversify in any field of interest. Accomplishing my goal to become a computer scientist will be one of my greatest achievements in life and I am determined and prepared to pay the price for success.
