In this project we chose to write about experiments on animals because we are owner of pets at home and this topic is pest us! : this animals have life too , this animals are like humans they are a part of our family-they have feelings/thoughts/rights like a humans and the experiments are cruel and it make them to suffer!!!
There exaggeration trials assessing the necessity of understanding the extent of suffering and a lot of experimental animals When we developed a medicine and we are’t need the animals for experiments because there are others alternatives like: use human or use animals dead body (creepy but its work most of the time) because: many of these experiments cause pain to the animals involved or reduce their quality of life in other ways. ny benefits to human beings that animal testing does provide could be produced in other ways Using animals for medical experimentation, product testing, and education is a controversial subject that often leads to heated debate. While the issues are complex, the suffering involved in animal experimentation is painfully obvious We chose this topic because we want to expand our knowledge and know more Everyone loves animals but no one knows what the animals are used for.
We also want to know if the world is so developed are still used in animal experiments I think the result of doing the work we learn many new things and expand our knowledge The questions *why do scientists perform experiments on animals ? For and against animal experiments different approaches. *how do countries around the world relate to animal testing in research The source of information that we used are internet web sites Body First question why do scientists perform experiments on animals ?
Because it is not legal or ethical to perform toxicology research on humans, scientists use animals such as fish, mice, and other organisms whose bodies respond similarly to those of humans. These are called animal models. Scientists then make predictions about how a chemical will affect humans based on results of the animal tests. Scientists are very respectful of test animals. They make sure that the animals are treated well and do not suffer at any point in an experiment. For some tests, it is possible to study chemical effects on cells or tissue samples.
However, to better understand how a chemical affects a whole organism, testing chemicals on animals is sometimes necessary. Scientists have many instruments available to measure chemical concentration in the environment. However, using an animal experiment can be more useful for several reasons And the reasons are More sensitive: You may be able to observe a change in an organism’s genetic expression caused by exposure to a very low concentration of chemical. This concentration is sometimes much lower than what can be detected with even the most sensitive analytical instrument.
More relevant to health: Simply knowing the concentration of a chemical does not tell you if it is harmful at that concentration. Observing a response in a test animal confirms that the chemical does or does not have a health effect at that concentration. More information: Animal models can be useful when you do not know what kind of chemical you are looking for. As you learned in this experiment, specific changes in gene expression patterns can give clues about what type of chemical is present. in this question we used For and against animal experiments different approaches. against animal experiments different approaches |for animal experiments different approaches | |Experimenting on animals is always unacceptable because it causes |Experimenting on animals is acceptable if human benefits are gained which could| |suffering to animals |not be obtained by using other methods | |Experimenting on animals is always unacceptable because the benefits to |Experimenting on animals is acceptable if suffering is minimised in all | |human beings are not proven |experiments | |Experimenting on animals is always unacceptable because any benefits to | | |human beings that animal testing does provide could be produced in other | | |ways | | Animal experiments are not used to show that drugs are safe and effective in human beings – they cannot do that.
Instead, they are used to help decide whether a particular drug should be tested on people. Second question How do countries around the world relate to animal testing in research? |France |In France, legislation requires an institutional and project license before testing on vertebrates is carried out. | |United Kingdom |The experiments must use “the minimum number of animals, involve animals with the lowest degree of neurophysiologic sensitivity, cause the least | | |pain, suffering, distress, or lasting harm, and most likely to produce satisfactory results” | |Germany |The German Animal Welfare Act is designed to enforce the utilitarian principle that there must be good eason for one to cause an animal harm and| | |
identifies that it is the responsibility of human beings to protect the lives and well-being of their fellow creatures | |Japan |The system in Japan is one of self-regulation; there are no regulations like Western countries, only the 3Rs principle are written into the Law | | |for Humane Treatment and Management of Animals | |United States |Animal care and use in research in the United States are largely controlled by Institutional Animal Care and Use Committees. | |Canada |The federal government does not have jurisdiction to pass laws that involve experiments on animals. | |Australia |In Australia, Animal Ethics Committees determine whether the use of an animal is valid or not. |New Zealand |New Zealand’s Animal Welfare Act 1999 requires owners and people in charge of animals to ensure the physical, health and behavioural needs of | | |animals are met, and that pain and distress are alleviated | |Brazil |The federal law for the scientific use of animals was passed in 2008. The law established the National Council for the Control of Animal | | |Experimentation and demanded that institutions create an ethics committee on the use of animals. | | |Brazil also reinforces the 3Rs. | Brief explanation of 3Rs The three Rs are a set of principles that scientists are encouraged to follow in order to reduce the impact of research on animals.
The three Rs are: Reduction, Refinement, Replacement. |Reduction |Refinement |Replacement | |Reducing the number of animals used in xperiments|Refining the experiment or the way the animals are cared |Replacing experiments on animals with alternative techniques such | |by Improving experimental techniques |for so as to reduce their suffering by Using less |as Experimenting on cell cultures instead of whole animals | | |invasive techniques | | |Reducing the number of animals used in experiments|Refining the experiment or the way the animals are cared |Replacing experiments on animals with alternative techniques such | |by Improving techniques of data analysis |for so as to reduce their suffering by Better medical |as Using computer models and Studying human volunteers | | |care | | |Reducing the number of animals used in experiments|Refining the experiment or the way the animals are cared |Replacing experiments on animals with alternative techniques such | |by Sharing information with other researchers |for so as to reduce their suffering by Better living |as Using epidemiological studies | | |conditions | | Conclusion I do the project whit peer we met several times we thought and we did work together Each stated his views on the subject The most interesting thing we learned about was the three Rs And our first question why do scientists perform experiments on animals?
When we did this work we translated many words we did not know and wanted to know and that fact we increased our knew The else information that we like to research about the topic is How long do animal experiments The difficult about doing the project was the words we did not know in the articles When we performed the work we discovered many new things for a period of how different countries respond to animal experiments It was interesting to perform the work because we have animals at home and also because most of the population has almost animal in home I also understand that experiments do not always help us and that animals suffer in vain I hope that will come up methods for testing drugs without harming animals The skill that we use in the project was comparison The work was very interesting but also very difficult to But after a few sessions arranged and hours of thinking we finished the job and we are very pleased with the results because we were able to achieve the goals we wanted and discovered many new things
