I would like to take this additional portion to provide some words of inspiration and encouragement by informing you of an event that occurred in my life. This event changed me for the better and lead me to conform to my current thoughts and actions around the principles and wisdom that I gained that day. Given my unique experience of working with children during my annual missionary trips to the Eastern Shore since the beginning of my high school career, I was able to help multiple kids and teens who personally came to me for help in the struggles with their anxiety and depressions. I noticed that most of their problems were founded upon their dealings with hardships that they had yet to overcome. I am more than proud to say that my greatest achievement in life was when I was able to prevent a 7th grade girl from committing suicide. I became her beacon of light in a (as she saw) dark world. I was able to make her realize how beautiful and how worthy of adornment she was.
I remember looking her directly in her crying eyes accompanied with deep piercing tears of my own, and saying, “I know you believe no one loves you or wants you to succeed, but that couldn’t be farther from the truth. Now that you have me in your life you will forever have a person who will do literally anything for you. I understand that I can’t always be there with you at school to protect you from judgmental eyes or scary bullies but just know that no matter what hateful things are being hurled your way. Make sure you know that my love for you can never be outweighed or even challenged by the hateful things you may come across in this world.
My passion to see you become the magnificent young woman I know you will become will always overpower any conflicting thoughts that cross your mind and tell you to doubt and harm yourself.” Ever since this influential experience in my life I have dedicated myself to helping more people predominantly around my age or younger in helping them with their internal and external conflicts; because of this experience God has allowed me to help multiple other kids with these problems.
I am also very proud to say that I have in my years in a leadership position have been responsible for over 60 child groups and with an overall total of around 400 different children whom I’ve been able to share the love I have for them. I currently keep in touch with most of the kids in my class by phone and through social media like Snap Chat and Instagram. I will occasionally check up on them and face time them for a couple hours asking how they are doing, reminiscing on old times, helping them with homework or any new problems that they ask for guidance on. I will forever continue to share my love and experiences, making new friendships and lifelong companions each year. It is because of my experiences that I am so profoundly driven upon my holistic goal in life of reaching such a political and financial status to live comfortably and take the money I have and attribute it to the influential people in my life who helped me acquire such a position in society, while also allocating what I own for philanthropic purposes.
I am so passionate about this goal that I am willing to take on any obstacle that may interfere and prohibit me from obtaining such a position. I am also driven with profound zeal and ambition because I have taken a vow that I shall do what these kids have taught me. This is to overcome any obstacle in life and continue to be the triumphant leader I am in their eyes.
