Specific Purpose Statement: To persuade my audience that I should be the next school prefect I would like to take this opportunity to run for school prefect. I believe true leadership is a quality many aspire to have, and only a few truly obtain, because in order to become a leader you must first learn to follow. I believe over the past four years this school has given me the knowledge, education and understanding to fulfil the qualities to become a prefect. If I were to be chosen to become prefect, I would try my best to stress the idea of respect as it is very important in our school community. Also I would like to make sure the ideas and objectives of Madonna will be well known throughout the younger and older years of the school. As it contains the five main objectives in leading a happy academic school life. Continuing on, I feel that I would greatly enjoy the activities done by school prefects for example the Schmango, guiding and welcoming new pupils and parents around the school. Also I would love the chance to help out in the prom committee as I have many ideas from myself and others to share. I feel I can help to accelerate the school further and take into account all student views to create a safer and more excellent environment for pupils to educate themselves whether there in Year 7 or Year 11. After having completed Emperor of Clist (purple) in year 10, I can safely say that I have gained some life long skills that can help me in being a prefect. For example I now can communicate very well with others as I can listen and take on others opinions, as I believe everyone has the same .
