Ronaldinho had an interesting early life starting with his childhood. He was born on March 21, 1980 in Porto Alegia, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. His full name is Ronaldo De Assis Moreira. His mom was Dona Miguelina Eloi Assis dos Santos who was a salesperson who studied to be a nurse.

    His dad was Joao de Assis Moreira he was a shipyard worker and a soccer play at a local soccer at Esporte Clube Cruzeiro. His dad died when Ronaldinho was 8 from a heart attack in his family swimming pool. When Ronaldinho was thirteen he was first spotted by the media when he scored 23 goals in a 23-0 victory against a local team. The first soccer team Ronaldinho was on was Gremio he made his senior debut in the 1998 Copa Libertadores. He also play for the under 17 Brazil National team. Ina 1997 he won the FIFA U-17 World Championship. He scored his first goal on a penalty against Austria which Brazil ended up winning 7-0.

Ronaldinho was chosen for the UEFA Team of the Year for a third consecutive time in January 2006. In the 2005-06 Champions League quarterfinal Barcelona eliminated Benefica with a 2-0 with Ronaldinho scoring one of the goals.

    In the semi finals Barcelona won against AC Milan with a score of 1-0 with Ronaldinho assisting Ludovic Giuly with their only goal in the series. Barcelona moved into the Champions League final which they won on May 17 2006 with a 2-1 score against Arsenal. On November 25th Ronaldinho scored his 50th goal against Villarreal, and then scored again that game. He changed from his Attacking Midfield position to a more familiar Left Wing. On January 10th 2010 Ronaldinho scored two goals against Juventus in an away match sealing a 3-0 victory.

    In the following match against Siena on January 17th 2010 Ronaldinho scored his first hat-trick for AC Milan. On January 11th 2011 Ronaldinho joined Flamengo. He scored his first goal for Flamengo on February 6th 2011 in a 3-2 victory against Boavista. On February 27th 2011 Ronaldinho scored a goal against Boavista in a 1-0 victory for their first piece of ‘Silverware’ with the team, the Taca Guanabara. On July 27th 2011 Ronaldinho scored his first hat-trick with Flamengo in a 5-4 away win against rivals Santos, after being down 3-0 in the first 30 minutes.

    With all these amazing teams he also won many awards and championships. Ronaldinho won many individual awards, some championships, a player of the year award or two, and even a FIFA world cup. In 1999 Ronaldinho won two individual award and two championships, these were Best Player of the Year in the Rio Grande do Sul Championship, 15 goals in Rio Grande do Sul Championship. He also won two championships in 1999 the Rio Grande do Sul Championship and the Copa Sul Championship. In 2000 Ronaldinho only won one award and that was the Silver Ball from the Placar Magazine.

    In 2001 He also only won one championship and that was the UEFA Intertoto Cup. Through the 2004-6 season Ronaldinho won 11 awards, championships, and player of the year awards. Through the 2009-10 Ronaldinho won three awards the Golden foot, World Soccer Player of the Decade, and World Team of the Decade from the newspaper The Sun. These are all the reasons why Ronaldinho is one of the best soccer players in the world with an interesting early life, amazing career that is still going on today, and awards, accomplishments, and achievements that he is still getting to this day.
