Making tuna casserole is a fast and easy dinner to fix. It involves preparing the noodles, getting the ingredients mixed together, and the cooling process. Before you begin you will need these ingredients: noodles, tuna, cream of celery, a can opener, a stove, a medium to large pot, water, a strainer, a large spoon, and a cup. Make sure when you are cooking you stir the noodles on the bottom or they will stick to the bottom and make it hard to come off when you are cleaning the pot.
If you follow these instructions correctly your tuna casserole will be creamy and easy to chew. The first steps in preparing the noodles would be to get a medium to large pot (depending on how many mouths you are feeding) and fill it half full with water using a cup just to get it as close to half as possible. Next you will place the pot on the stove and set it to medium heat. As for the noodles you can use any kind you like but I prefer elbow noodles. Pour the noodles into the water (the number of bags depends on the serving size) and let them get nice and soft.
To check the noodles you can either grab a noodle with your finger and pinch it or use your spoon to slice it. This is also the part that you need to stir really well. If you don’t than the noodles will stick to the bottom and will be a hassle to try and get out when you are cleaning up. Once the noodles are soft, pour the noodles into the strainer that should be placed in the sink. After the water is drained put the noodles back into the pot and place it back on the stove, which will need to be placed on the low cook setting.
Then you will need to open you two cans of cream of celery (if you are making a big pot you will need to add more. And depending on how creamy you want it will also depend on how much you put in there also). After you mix it in with the noodles you now need to add two- three cans of tuna (keep in mind that the amount you add will depend on how big of a pot you want). Make sure everything is mixed together thoroughly; you don’t want the bottom of your pot not to have any flavor.
Now that everything is done leave it to cool for 10-15 minutes under the stove fan. If you follow the step correctly your casserole should be creamy (not runny) and your noodles should be soft and easy to chew (not hard). If your casserole is runny have someone help you lift the pot over the sink while you keep the contents in and get the remaining water out. If the noodles are still hard once you’ve finished dispose of it and start over, but this time let the noodles cook some more.
