As Halloween approaches, I fondly remember my struggle in choosing a costume. There were so many options! To help me decide, I thought back to when I was nine years old and decided to dress as a cheerleader. This reflection made me consider wearing the same outfit again. However, I realized that as an adult, I have the freedom to be any character for Halloween. Amidst all the excitement that Halloween brought during my childhood, some of my favorite memories include being a doctor, cheerleader, and basketball player; enjoying candied apples; and going trick-or-treating with my mother. Actually, in 2002 when I was nine years old, dressing up as a cheerleader was what I chose to wear.
As a child, I always enjoyed dressing up on Halloween night. At the age of ten, I chose to dress as a basketball player and later had fun being a doctor. Whether it was a cheerleader, doctor, or basketball player costume, all three were easy to put on and had a shiny appearance that felt nice to wear while keeping me cool.
In addition to my love for dressing up, I also have an affection for candied apples which I indulge in daily during Halloween. However, eating them can be messy due to the nuts and sticky caramel that tend to get all over me. To combat this stickiness, I make sure to wash my hands after each indulgence. Nonetheless, despite the stickiness factor, I still adore the taste of candied apples and thoroughly enjoy consuming them.
Furthermore, one of my favorite childhood traditions was going trick-or-treating with my mother.
