Originally called the College of Business Administration, the Boston University School of Management was founded in 1913. The School of Management offers a variety of MBA programs that students can personalize according to their schedule, learning style, talents, and goals.Degrees OfferedThe Boston University School of Management offers Full-Time and Professional Evening MBA (PEMBA) programs.
As stated in the name, the Full-Time programs require you to be a full-time student, leaving little opportunity for jobs or businesses outside class. However, Full-Time programs can be completed in less time than the PEMBA programs.Full-Time programs offered are:
- Two-year MBA program
- Two-year MS-MBA program
- One-year International MBA program, which includes a summer in Beijing and Shanghai, China Health Sector Management program, which is an MBA program more focused on issues pertaining to the health sector, such as health information technology, health systems management, and health sector consulting and public policy
- Public and Nonprofit Management program, an MBA program focused on using business management strategies to address social and humanitarian problems, be it in the government, nonprofit, or private sector.
The PEMBA programs provide the same quality of education and resources as the full-time programs, while giving students time for work or business outside of campus.
PEMBA programs offered are:
- Cohort MBA program, which allows a student to take the first five core courses of the program with a group of other students. This allows for a similar experience one would get with a full-time program. This program is usually completed within 3 years.
- Self-paced MBA program, which allows a student to select which courses to take per term.
This program gives students up to six years to complete the program, although most students graduate within 3.5 to 4 years.
- Part-time Health Sector Management Program
- Part-time Public & Nonprofit Management Program
