The final sermon of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Islam encompasses every aspect of human life, serving as not just a religion but a comprehensive guide for living. Recognized as the last prophet of Allah Almighty, Hazrat Muhammad delivered this sermon during the occasion of performing Hajj on the 9th of Zil-Hajjah, 10 A.H. Speaking to an audience of over one hundred thousand companions, he urged them to dedicate their lives to the service of Islam, thereby receiving the divine glory of Allah Almighty.
He instructed them on living in line with the genuine principles of Islam, providing Muslims and all of humanity with guidelines for their social, moral, personal, and political lives. The following is an excerpt from the sermon: All praise belongs to Allah, thus we praise Him and implore His forgiveness while turning to Him. We seek protection with Allah from the malevolence within us and from the adverse outcomes of our actions.
Whomever Allah guides, no one can lead astray; and whomever Allah leads astray, no one can guide. Bear witness that there is no god but Allah, the one who has no partner. He alone possesses sovereignty and deserves all praise. He grants life, causes death, and has power over everything. There is no god but Allah, the one who fulfilled His promise and granted victory to His servant, single-handedly defeating the enemies of Islam in their coalition.
