According to the Garner’s Multiple Intelligence’s Test, I found myself scoring high in Logical (Number Smart) and Intrapersonal (Myself Smart). Followed by Naturalistic (Nature Smart), Interpersonal (People Smart), Linguistic (Word Smart), Musical (Music Smart), and the lowest score was in Kinaesthetic (Body Smart). The second test, VAK Learning Styles Self-Assessment revealed that I scored high in the visual learning style, then the auditory learning style, and the last one being kinaesthetic learning style.
The third test, Keirsey Temperament Sorter-II, indicated that my personality type is that of the Artisan. There are four types of artisans: Composer (ISFP), Crafter (ISTP), Performer (ESFP), and Promoter (ESTP). The fourth test I took was the Big Five Personality Test. This test shows that I ranked high in agreeableness with an estimated 83% of other people who took this test that had scored lower than me.
The final test I took was the Jung Typology Test. This test revealed that my type is ESFJ (Extraverted, Sensing, Feeling, and Judging). My highest percentage was a 38% in feeling. 1.
Garner’s Multiple Intelligence’s Test What are Multiple Intelligences? It has been claimed by some researchers that our intelligence or ability to understand the world around us is complex [ (Multiple Intelligences, n. d. ) ]. Some people are better at understanding some things than others [ (Multiple Intelligences, n.
d. ) ]. Instead of having one intelligence, it is claimed that we have several different intelligences, there are eight different ones. These eight different intelligences were broken down based on how I answered the questions.
Logical and Intrapersonal were the two highest sections with 20 points.Logical is being good at mathematics, other number activities, and solving problems [ (Multiple Intelligences, n. d. ) ].
On the other hand, intrapersonal is all about knowing yourself and your strengths and weaknesses [ (Multiple Intelligences, n. d. ) ]. The next section with 18 points is Visual/Spatial.
This intelligence is about being good at art and other activities (i. e. , map reading, finding your way out of mazes, and reading graphs) [ (Multiple Intelligences, n. d.
) ]. Third intelligence with 17 points is Naturalistic.Naturalistic is someone who likes the world of plants and animals and enjoy learning about them [ (Multiple Intelligences, n. d.
) ]. Nest is Interpersonal intelligence, where one likes to mix with other people and belong to lots of clubs [ (Multiple Intelligences, n. d. ) ].
Team games are of interest and a person with this intelligence is also good with sharing [ (Multiple Intelligences, n. d. ) ]. The next two intelligences were tied with 14 points; Linguistic and Musical.
Linguistic intelligence enjoys reading, writing, and talking about things [ (Multiple Intelligences, n. . ) ]. The final intelligence, with 13 points, is Kinaesthetic.
With this type of intelligence, it’s likely a person will enjoy sports and are good at swimming, athletics, gymnastics, and other sports [ (Multiple Intelligences, n. d. ) ].2.
VAK Learning Styles Inventory This next test is a learning styles test. The results showed that I am more of a visual learner. Someone with visual learning style has a preference for seen or observed things, including pictures, diagrams, demonstrations, displays, handouts, films, flip-charts, etc. (Free VAK learning styles test, n.
d. ) ]. There is no right or wrong learning style. The point is that there are types of learning that are right for your own preferred learning style [ (Free VAK learning styles test, n.
d. ) ]. 3. Keirsey Temperament Sorter The Keirsey Temperament Sorter (KTS-II) is a widely used personality instrument in the world [ (Keirsey Temperament Sorter – II, n.
d. ) ]. According to my results, it indicates that my personality type is that of the Artisan [ (Keirsey Temperament Sorter – II, n. d.
) ].Artisans are the temperament with a natural ability to excel in any of the arts [ (Keirsey Temperament Sorter – II, n. d. ) ].
Artisans are most at home in the real world of solid objects that can be made and manipulated, and of real-life events that can be experienced in the here and now [ (Keirsey Temperament Sorter – II, n. d. ) ]. Artisans want to be where the action is; they seek out adventure and show a constant hunger for pleasure and stimulation [ (Keirsey Temperament Sorter – II, n.
d. ) ].4. The Big Five Personality Test.
The Big Five Personality Test is a psychology test that many psychologists consider to be the five fundamental dimensions of personality [ (The Big Five Personality Test, n. d. ) ]. There has been a lot of research on how people describe others, and the five major dimensions of human personality are often referred to as the OCEAN model of personality, because of the acronym from the names of the five dimensions [ (The Big Five Personality Test, n.
d. ) ]. The first dimension is Openness to Experience/Intellect; tend to be conventional, down to earth, narrow interests, and uncreative [ (The Big Five Personality Test, n. .
) ]. The second dimension is Conscientiousness; tend to be reliable, well-organized, self-disciplined, and careful [ (The Big Five Personality Test, n. d. ) ].
The third dimension is Extraversion; tend to be sociable, friendly, fun-loving, and talkative [ (The Big Five Personality Test, n. d. ) ]. The fourth dimension is Agreeableness; tend to be good natured, sympathetic, forgiving, and courteous [ (The Big Five Personality Test, n.
d. ) ]. The final dimension is Neuroticism; tend to be calm, relaxed, secure, and hardy [ (The Big Five Personality Test, n. d.
) ].5. Jung Typology Test The final test I took was the Jung Typology Test. According to the test results, my personality type is ESFJ [ (Jung Typology Test, n.
d. ) ]. Extraverted with 22%, Sensing with 12%, Feeling with 38% and Judging with 11% [ (Jung Typology Test, n. d.
) ]. The qualitative analysis of my formula type shows that I am slightly expressed extravert, sensing personality and judging personality. In addition, being moderately expressed feeling personality [ (Jung Typology Test, n. d.
) ]. Out of all five of these tests, I particularly liked the Keirsey Temperament Sorter.Reading the information that was provided was amazing, it really fits my personality well. Artisans at work seek to make an impact upon the organizations where they work [ (Keirsey Temperament Sorter – II, n.
d. ) ]. We follow our instincts to ‘what works’ which in turn makes us good troubleshooters and negotiators, talented performers and excellent leaders in all kinds of emergencies and chaotic situations [ (Keirsey Temperament Sorter – II, n. d.
) ]. What really struck me was the Artisan view; “Today must be enjoyed, for tomorrow may never come. ” This is definitely my motto in life.ReferencesFree VAK learning styles test.
