I am writing to apply for the Brand Manager position at Ulta Beauty. I learned of the opening position for this job through the official Ulta Beauty website after a friend saw the ad for a job offer. I am a full-time student at the University of Houston-Downtown, working on getting my bachelor’s degree in Marketing. I’m looking for a career based in the beauty industry, I have experience in this field from a young age.
Ulta Beauty, “the Bolingbrook-based beauty retailer, has cracked the Fortune 500 list,” (Shropshire, 2018), ranking at #471, and I want to express my interest of cosmetics within the Beauty industry where my knowledge and skills will be of value. I am updated with all the latest makeup and skin care products, as I know that Ulta Beauty’s purpose is to use the power of beauty to bring possibilities to life. I have a keen eye for luxury goods and I am a good team leader. I am adequate to be part of a company that has grown its revenues by “opening new salons, having the comparable store sales increase, and increasing e-commerce revenues.” (Weber, 2017). Currently only operating in the US, I hope for the opportunity to travel around other countries to help expand the beauty industry. If Ulta Beauty decides to expand the business overseas, I can be a great leader in helping manage the company from its new location.
Being a Brand Manager ($109,000) would allow me to show my skills and knowledge to Ulta Beauty. The Ulta Beauty Code of Conduct states that the business is solemnly conducted with integrity. The company values and respect every employee and ensures them with good working conditions. It is strongly enforced that integrity is their priority to ensure the commitment towards business and service. If someone can not follow the code of ethics, they are not adequate to serve the company. I can very well adhere to this code of conduct because I have the strength, commitment, and loyalty needed to serve Ulta Beauty. I would but my job before anything else and be ready for anything that I am asked to do to ensure growth in myself and Ulta Beauty.
