Bryant McGill had said, ‘Ambition is not what a man would do, but what a man does, for ambition without action is fantasy. ’ My ambition is to include the name of my family business in the top 100 Financial Companies of the world. I have always dreamt to see my name amongst internationally acclaimed JP Morgan, Merrill Lynch & in India companies like Religare & India Infoline ltd. To reach there, I will have to act and that’s why I happen to apply to your esteemed University for my Masters. Actually, I did masters in finance and international business.
And have a corporate experience more than two years. I am certified form national stock exchange of India and derivatives currency trader. Like every other student when I was 15 years old, I had to make a career decision for myself. At that point of time, I chose to enter the field of Finance and make a mark for myself. It was quiet obvious that I would want to get into this field. My father like stock market business, I grew up observing the elders in my family discuss Debts, Equities, Premiums, Principal amounts, the turnover figures of the various clients and so on.
These discussions ultimately led me to gain interest in the field of finance. I gradually came to appreciate the importance of finance in the modern world. I quickly wanted to grow up and join them however that never happened. I had to complete my Bachelors, intern under various reputed financial companies and work my hard way up to where I am now. I was exposed to the real corporate world and the finance industry’s working for the first time. During my Bachelor’s, part time job Economics and Finance impressed upon me the importance of the financial sector in the economy.
The practical experience during my job gave me a new confidence to go ahead and learn more, as I thoroughly enjoyed working for this industry. What I most enjoyed was facing a challenging situation like planning a basket of customized financial products for a few High Networth Income (HNI) clients taking into consideration the market scenario and their risk taking appetite at that point. This service was instrumental in turning them as our permanent clients. Through case studies and lectures, I broadened my understanding of economic principles while learning about management and its elationship to finance. This was particularly fascinating at the time because the global financial crisis of 2009 was wreaking havoc on economies and businesses around the world, and the theories that we learned were directly applicable to the current events in the news. Currently, my work profile is in property and financial advisor, wherein I am currently working on loan against property. When I had started work in financial sector, the most interesting and challenging home loan and over draft limit.
I have learnt in the process that corporate finance consultants not only develop great relationship with banks and financial institutions (FI), but also understand the appetite and liking of each bank/FI towards the various industries. When the clients approach investment bankers, they not only prepare a project report, but also decide the right bank to be approached for particular industry/project. Thus, during my work on loan against property, I learnt to solve the complications and understand the importance of project finance consultants, specifically funding in the Investment banking industry.
It is due to my understanding of the importance of finance and investment, coupled with my longstanding interest for this subject that I have decided to pursue postgraduate studies in finance at your prestigious University. A Master’s Degree in Finance would ideally complement my graduate degree in Banking. I have chosen to pursue master’s studies in the UK because it is home to many of the leading financial professionals and institutions in the world.
The recent financial crisis has transformed the finance industry, and studying in the UK is ideal for grasping the changes that are currently taking place in this field. Specifically, the resources and expertise available in your university will provide me with a broad and deep learning experience. My long term goal is to join international financial Organization, which is an into Investment Banking providing Financial Consultancy by raising Funds for Clients from various industries such as Hospitality, Infrastructure, Bullion, Manufacturing, etc, for the last 20 years.
Equipped with the technical expertise and professional skills and global exposure I could elevate Money Managers to be amongst the top Investment Banking firms in the world. I am confident that I am well-prepared to meet the demands of your program, and I would greatly appreciate your consideration in choosing me to be a part of your University. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. Without leaps of imagination, we lose the excitement of possibilities. Dreaming, after all, is a form of planning.
I knew at a young age that I would enter the business field and thus I attended a college with business specializations. After this, I pursued my Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Training. I have also gained work experience of around a year. My job had been an enriching experience and I learnt a lot about the business dynamics. However, I feel that I have much more ability and need to gain more knowledge in order to unleash that potential. To satisfy my zeal for excellence, I need to continue my education.
Hence, I am seeking career advancement. My education and work experience have provided me with an excellent introduction to business management, and have sparked my interest in the management field. Taking into consideration my foundation and my interests, graduate business school is the next logical step for me. At this point, I consider MBA as a critical component of my professional education since I need to gain a broader understanding of business and enhance my analytical skills as well as managerial Statement of Purpose – MBA
Studying for an MBA requires a certain determination and strength of character. In recent years, the business world has become rapidly integrated across once restricting borders, and anyone with high goals in the business world must have an international perspective and be aware of the realities of different international arenas. I am unique, and uniquely fortunate, to have a diverse background both academically and professionally which has exposed me to different continents, peoples, cultures, and languages.
As a native of Asia, I am familiar with the increasingly important markets of this region, and as such I am thoroughly prepared for the demands and challenges presented by undertaking study in the MBA program at your institution. From a young age, I set goals beyond those of my peers. I decided to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in International Hotel Management, but in recognition of the limitation of programs in this field in my native country, I decided to pursue my undergraduate degree in Europe.
The international hotel management course I joined was run by Goodwell University in the UK, and due to the experience of the instructors and the overall sophistication of the program, I received an incredibly valuable learning experience, beyond that which I could have received elsewhere. My undergraduate coursework at Goodwell University focused on management marketing, accounting, and various aspects of tourism. I received broad business-based education while immersing myself in European culture and language on a daily basis.
As a result, I am confident in my ability to adapt to your environment and join your MBA program. After graduation from Goodwell University, I returned to my native country, but the limitations of the rapidly growing domestic hotel industry quickly became apparent to me. I therefore sought employment in a different field in which I could better utilize my skills. I began working in the Marketing Department of Makebest Textile Company, where I learned how to control costs, devise marketing strategies, and develop lasting relationships with customers.
I am currently working as the Assistant Sales Manager in this company, responsible for the development of overseas customers and analyses of sales goals. After more than three years in this company, I am confident working in a fast-paced international business environment. However, during these years I have encountered numerous obstacles and unforeseen challenges. Therefore, after careful consideration, I decided that further study in an MBA program would be not only useful, but perhaps essential in developing my career potential and providing me with greater opportunities for future success.
My career path has led me from the rapidly developing markets of my native country in Asia to the rolling hills of England and back again. Now, I feel that the next logical destination on my path is your MBA program. The curriculum of your MBA program is similar to that which I studied previously, yet it is much more challenging and will allow me to develop my abilities further. I already have a strong background in various aspects of business, from marketing and management to accounting and sales.
Because of this, I feel I am uniquely qualified to attend your MBA program. After completion of my studies, I plan to return to Makebest Textile Company and apply what I learn in your program to the benefit of the company. Within five years after graduating, I expect to have developed a successful career that I can be proud of. I believe that my past shows a steady yet rapid progression through the business world, and I am eager to continue that progression by enrolling in your MBA program. Thank you for your time and consideration.
