It’s also important to understand portion sizes and read nutrition labels.

It helps me to buy pre-portioned snacks from the store. Avoid eating foods straight out of the bag, to eat healthier, clean out fattening foods, and replace it with healthy food. Then I have no choice but to eat healthy. This is something I actually did months ago, Get sleep; going to bed earlier can help reduce nighttime snacking. Always eat breakfast and try to eat many mini-meals, with supper being the last meal of the day, People who kept a diary 6 days a week lost twice as much weight as people who wrote in the diary once a week. Weight yourself once a week at the same time on the same day using the same scale and wearing the same outfit, the food dairy and weight tracking both promote awareness.

Lose weight slowly; approximately 1-2 lbs per week is realistic. Chew sugarless gum or have low-calorie hard candies when you feel the munchies coming on or to fix your sweet tooth. I stopped chewing gum because I didn’t think I needed it, but I might start carrying it on me again.
