I was born in the United States in a city called Orlando, Florida. This place is very hot and humid in the summer. It is like you can feel droplets of water in hand as you are walking outside. I lived in Orlando, Florida for two years and then moved to Texas. I came to California at the age of three. There are many things in our world that has shaped our dreams and aspirations.
When I grow up, I want to be an elementary school teacher. I like little kids, and they are so lovely and cute. When I was in elementary school, everybody was in the same class with one teacher. During recess time, I would all run to the playground and go on the monkey bars, slide down the slides, and go on the swings. I really liked the art projects that the elementary teachers gave us. This helped me to get better at hand coordination by how to properly use a pair a scissors or glue stick. I have kept these projects to represent how I have changed as a person each year. I am really thankful for the knowledge that they have given me to help me succeed in life and beyond.
I also really like to go on field trips when I was in elementary school. One example of this is Walden West. This was one of the most amazing experiences in my life. I went there for the first time in 5th grade. During this one week trip, I learned how to be independent and try to do things by myself without the help from my parents or my grandparents. I have seen many amazing animals throughout this trip such as banana slugs, deer, and raccoons and met many different people that I had never met before.
Teamwork is one of the most important skills that I have learned throughout my trip to Walden West. It taught me how to cooperate and interact with everyone in my log cabin. Now that I am seventeen years old, I still wish I could go back to that place and teach other children what it is like to be in a cabin with only each other to depend on.
To sum it all up, I really like the elementary school life and will never forget it in my life. I want to teach children how to help and get along with each other. Elementary school has taught me skills that I would later need for the future and encounter in life. These are the reasons why I want to be an elementary school teacher.
