Table of Content

Music TV channels have become a reflection of contemporary society, providing a variety of programs such as music videos, charts, shows, and cartoons. Whether it’s MTV or VIVA, these channels feature comparable content that is frequently criticized for being inexpensive and shallow in nature. Television has evolved into a potent instrument for spreading popular culture and consumerism.

Image, as a tool, is used for sharing information, ideas, and appeals. Despite frequently being foolish and absurd, it wields considerable influence over viewers. It has become the predominant method of expressing ideas and aiding communication, firmly ingraining itself in the minds of many.

The impact of vibrant and dynamic images on the human psyche is undeniable. It shapes our behavior, sense of style, and overall existence. Especially among young individuals, there is a tendency to emulate the appearance and mannerisms of their favorite television VJs. These individuals adopt specific fashion choices, hairstyles, and even undergo body modifications like piercings or tattoos, all inspired by their TV idols. TV hosts have emerged as influential figures to emulate, serving as experts and authorities across various aspects of human life, ranging from fashion trends to principles of ethics and morality.

The individuals offer unconventional and extreme patterns of behavior, which some may perceive as odd or excessive. Their concepts can be both commendable and foolish. Television portrays an unrealistic image of an “ideal” man and woman, accompanied by the associated demands and stress. Many young women, who seem to be more vulnerable to this pressure, engage in dieting and wear peculiar clothing, among other things.

Many people conform to societal expectations by buying popular brands of clothing, cosmetics, and food. This conformity to fashion often lacks depth and substance. Nowadays, even songs lacking musical quality or artistic merit can still achieve global sales in the millions, indicating a shift in the music industry’s prioritization away from artistic and cultural value.

It becomes a collection of undistinguishable sounds and samples, measured in bps, which can be potentially harmful. A specific group holds complete authority and dominance over the minds of others, controlling their spirits and dictating their behavior.

People lose their freedom when they start behaving like robots, becoming mere cogs in the showbiz machine that includes MTV.
