The most disastrous effects of stress is committing suicide and this are often occur among students. “ Between 600 and 800 of 15 to 24 years old students killed themselves each year – equivalent to the population of a small secondary school.“ ( John Harkin, 2008, page 1) i. They agress that tests, exams, and family break-up causing the most distress to students.

The main cause of stress among student is interpersonal causes. Interpersonal causes which included the factor like relationships with family and friend
Stress may take apart when students do not have a good relationship between family and friends, they may be alone and do not have anyone to share everything with. Other than that, relations with faculty members also apart of interpersonal causes.

Other cause of stress among student is actually because of the academic itself. Elizabeth (2008) jotted that, workload of college, difficult tests and other academic obstacles, also may lead to stress. Besides that, challenging classes and scheduling issues to coordinate where by, they got a very pack and long class will make them stress. Because, as human, we need some gap, time to let our mind rest for a while, rather than, doing everything in a non stop period.
Causes of stress is just around us, so avoid it as best as we can by find a suitable way to solve every problems that crossed by.

Major negative effect of stress is on emotional health
Emotional health problem is more dangerous than physical health problem because it can lead to most disastrous effects of all that is committing suicide. According to Lerner (2008), Emotional or Mental health is an expression of our emotions and signifies a failure adaptation to the range of demands in life. The stressful life events can lead to all the failure just by conquering our mind. So it is very important to maintain our mental and emotional health because once our emotional health was disturbed it can lead to various of diseases such as depression, anxiety, emotional eating, anger and so on. The second disastrous effect of stress to an individual especially students is on academic performance. Actually this effect affected students beyond their thinking.
Once they are in stress they have difficulty to concentrate on their study and finally their result will ruin because they cannot do well in their exams. So that is how their academic performance shows such negative improvement from day to day because they cannot manage their stress well.

You may feel like the stress in your life is out of your control, but you can always control the way you respond. Kind of way to manage stress is doing exercise. Rhodes (2006) stated that one of the effective ways to manage stress is by doing exercise. Get regular physical activity. Physical activity plays a key role in both reducing and preventing the effects of stress.

Other than that, stress can be manage by make time for fun and relaxation.
The example to make time relaxation is take regular vacations or even long weekends or mental-health days at intervals that you have learned are right for you. By do aroma therapy or listening music also can make more relax. Your senses are a powerful tool and can be used to invoke relaxation and stress reduction.
