Signs to give to children and young people that you are listening: * Giving full attention when listening to children and young people so that they feel that they get the sense of feeling that you are interested in what they are saying. * React with body language or appropriate expressions so that they can see that you have understood what they are saying. * Giving time to think what they are saying will give them the reassurance that you respect and will wait for their say or opinion.

Being patient shows that you are willing to listen and understand their views.
