In this assignment entitled “Coach X,” I will discuss the positions of hospitals administrator and computer technology for candidate X, including the skills and previous relationship that would benefit the organization, as well as their crisis management abilities.
Hospital Administrator: If Coach X applied for the job of Hospital Administrator, I would hire him because administration of anything, not just a hospital, requires motivation and effective management. Coach X has clearly demonstrated these qualities. Additionally, they need to possess charisma to lead and attract benefits. As a nationally recognized and respected member of his profession, Coach X would have the ability to do this.
Computer Technology: When considering the role of a Computer Technology Administrator, I would not hire Coach X due to their lack of technical skills. However, Coach X possesses skills that could benefit the organization. They have a track record of building successful teams and achieving excellence in their work. Additionally, they have experience managing large teams and a significant annual budget, as well as representing organizations at national conferences and serving on presidential committees.
Previous Relationships: Coach X’s relationships with past and former presidents make them an ideal potential ally for the hospital. Furthermore, their connections with current and former national athletes can bring publicity and financial contributions to the hospital. This will enhance the hospital’s reputation and attract talented individuals.
Crisis Management Abilities: Coach X has a demonstrated ability to handle crises effectively, as seen in their coaching career. Their organizational skills, experience, and contacts position Coach X well to handle any crisis that the hospital may encounter.
In conclusion, I would hire Coach X as a hospital administrator because they have proven themselves capable of effective administration.However, I would not consider hiring him for the Computer Technology job due to his lack of technical skills required for managing such a position.
Coach X possesses both the required skills and relationships that are highly sought after by all hospitals. Moreover, Coach X has the necessary expertise and connections to effectively manage any emergency situation.
