My Passion for running first starts when i was in elementary school.

I remember being the fastest kid in the whole recess no one could catch me in tad unless i got too tired. I was so fast that one of my friends wanted me join his football team. I became a wide revier, i never played football before but i could out out long as fast i could and catch the ball. This boosted my confidence in running a lot so when i got to middle school the others kids were just as fast as me which made me feel angry but i found it was the only reason just to run faster.

When cross country season came around i was excited but also scared because i never have ran long distance before. I was not as good as everyone else i was terrible i was getting a bad place in my meets my times weren’t as good as my friends which this made a flare in me. I wanted to run in a race with my friends wait no i wanted to beat my friends i want to get first.

I started working very hard at practice i would show up twice a day once in the morning and the other in the afternoon after school ended. I remember i was the only kid that did that and none of my friends were showing up for practice every single day. The district meet has just rolled around the corner and i was ready no one knew what i was going to do.

The gun shot off and we were off. I stayed in the front pack the entire race. At the last 500 meters i look around and i am sprinting to the finish with all my friends and then i started passing them i was grinding through the slippery mud and thinking its all most there. I got 6th overall in the whole race out of about 250 kids i was too proud of myself i couldn’t believe i did that and no one on the team did either.

In high school it was the same story. For track i ran the 800 meters and i was good at it better than all of the other freshman but the thing was it wasnt only freshman. That year my coach didn’t even run me in the meets which really discouraged me.

Next year i thought to myself why don’t i show my coach on what he missed out on last year. I worked very hard again everyday over and over and over running the same loopes the same track works out but i was only getting better i was smashing through my old records and i was too fast for cross country as they told me. I final made the track team and my first meet came around and i got 2nd overall with a time of 2:09. When distirt came around i kinda got scared because i never had ran a varsity race before. I ended up placing 6 overall with a time of 2:04
