It is essential for parents to discourage involvement in premarital sex as a preventive measure against this problem. However, regrettably, teenagers and unmarried young adults still engage in premarital sex and consequently become young mothers. Factors like alcohol and drug use also contribute to early motherhood by increasing the likelihood of becoming pregnant at a young age. Early pregnancy not only poses risks to the mother but also to the unborn baby. These women may lack full understanding of the responsibilities of motherhood or how to raise a baby with optimal health and happiness due to their youthfulness.
Motherhood is a demanding role that encompasses the responsibilities of parenting, requiring qualities such as emotion, compassion, dedication, strength, knowledge, protectiveness, and financial support for the child.
