My World View and the Bible

Table of Content

We tend to view ourselves as the central figure in our world, believing that we possess superior intelligence, intellect, power, and familiarity. Our presence here is attributed to God who placed us on this planet. However, it’s important to acknowledge that God also created everything else around us, including heaven. Beginning with light and darkness, vegetation, the sky and oceans; God then proceeded to create humanity. Upon completing this remarkable feat, He paused to appreciate His incredible achievement by declaring “I did an exceptional job.”

The bible and one’s Christian worldview are closely connected, as the Statue of Liberty symbolizes the east coast while the Statue of Responsibility represents the west coast. Without the bible’s significant role in your worldview, you will face difficulties without guidance. However, I want to clarify that I do not claim to be the most devout Christian or strongest believer. In life’s challenging situations, I can rely on the bible for direction. It serves as my job description for how I live and think. Having something to turn to when needed is reassuring and it is one of God’s ways of making our lives easier.

Despite our tendency to believe that we are the sole focus of God’s attention and that our personal issues hold exclusive importance, it is important to recognize that God operates with reason and benevolence. Significant events such as loss of life, battles for survival, and warfare occur worldwide. This highlights the existence of more urgent matters within our global community compared to our insignificant troubles. I have personally learned this fundamental lesson both through scripture and my own direct experiences with God. Whenever I am in need or seeking guidance, I can always rely on God’s constant presence. Moreover, even during times when immediate assistance is unnecessary, he presents me with opportunities for growth and gaining wisdom.

Having a relationship with God and seeking his assistance in life is important. He helps those who are worthy of his support. It is crucial to consider why he should enhance your life if you don’t contribute to the world or give praise. Neglecting to have faith in his works or failing to give back can be seen as taking advantage of him or exploiting him. This is why I strongly believe that being a devout Christian and having faith in God offers greater advantages than any other religion.

Sin is universal, except for God and Jesus. How can one ascertain their forgiveness for sins? If confessing to a priest leads to the instruction “Say ‘Give me 5 Hail Marys, and you are forgiven,'” does it imply true absolution? Absolutely not! The ability to forgive sins is beyond mortal man’s capability. In light of my Bible study and understanding of God, I firmly believe that the only path to sin forgiveness lies in believing in Christ and having faith in God. Embracing the concept that Jesus sacrificed his life on the cross to liberate individuals from suffering enables their redemption from sins. Furthermore, having faith that God purposefully orchestrates all events and provides guidance towards righteousness facilitates sin forgiveness as well. This belief significantly impacts my worldview and influences my decision-making process. It has prompted me to reconsider engaging in foolish actions that I might have undertaken previously, and I am immensely grateful to Christianity for this profound transformation.

According to the biblical story, Cain attacked his brother Abel in a field and caused his death. The Lord confronted Cain for this act and cursed him, declaring that Abel’s blood cried out from the ground. As a consequence, the Lord banished Cain from the land and warned of sevenfold vengeance against anyone who kills him. This understanding of human nature may be unsettling, but it provides reassurance through faith in God’s ability to administer appropriate punishment. I find solace in knowing that I no longer need to seek revenge myself; instead, I can rely on God to address such behavior. In the past, I used to retaliate against those who harmed me or my loved ones; however, now I appreciate my worldview which motivates me not to stoop down to their level and pursue retaliation.

According to Genesis 1:27, man was created by God in his own image. This creation has a purpose which includes living, learning, prospering, growing, having morals, and continuing the human race. Rather than seeking self-centered recognition for our work, God desires us to reflect his image and express gratitude for the blessings he has bestowed upon us and the opportunity to experience life. Through my studies, I have come to understand that these opportunities are given with the expectation of having faith in God and trusting that we are under his care.

If I were required to choose someone to entrust my life with, I would confidently select someone who possesses the ability to grant me eternal happiness. By persisting on my current path of prosperity and growth, I voluntarily place my life in God’s hands. My ultimate aspiration is that through my faith, belief system, and perspective on life, God will welcome me into heaven.

The Bible serves as a bridge between my worldview and my relationship with God. I am thankful for God providing me with this sacred text as it shapes how I perceive the world around me and teaches me about his likeness as well as guiding principles for leading a virtuous existence.
