Many middle class and under class people cannot afford such costs. It is true that the government will give you grants but most of the time students never get funding from them (Emmons 3). Most people of today can hardly afford a car let alone the fees and tuition of college. Also, it could provide equality to all people.

Allowing everyone an equal opportunity to go to college and make something of themselves. It provides a way for poorer families to break free from their social strata that they have been put into (“This House Believes University Education Should Be Free” 4). This is why it is important to make university education free. In the end citizens of the US would benefit from university free education.

Fees and loans are too big of a load for young people to carry.A lot of students drop out do to the pressure of having to worry about all the loans they have to pay back after they are done with college. This should not be an issue to the student. According Iatham Emmmons, “Even worse, a large portion of students never receive funding at all due to the multitude of stipulations that must be adhered to in order to qualify for assistance.

A major flaw in the current federal educational assistance programs is that the students’ parents’ income is used to calculate financial need” (Emmons 3).Even citizens who try to get help by applying for funding never end up getting it because they do not meet the needs required for the funding. Education should be provided to every individual at no cost. A person should focus on their job as a student while in college, not on the debt that they will have to pay back.

Instead, citizens should be paid to go to college because they are going there to better themselves as citizens of the United States. Making new experiences for each individual is important. No one will enjoy the experience if they have crushing debts to worry about.Education should be out there to inspire peoples mind and not just filling their head with others perspective.

Every individual has the right to learn and be educated, and have the opportunity to view this world in a different perspective and do something on their own. But the cost of education is so unaffordable to some mankinds that it is just ferocious for them to even consider paying those education bills off” (“Should Higher Free Education Should Be Offered to All for Free? ” 4). If students were not stressed out over the cost, they could then focus they’re stress on leaning and getting educated.A student should only have to worry about exceling him or herself to their best ability without worrying about the price they have to pay to get their education.

A public university is supposed to be meant for everybody but only those who can actually afford the price can actually go to it (Brady 4). Which therefore means that the government can’t call a university public if it not actually public (Brady 4). According to Brady Aaron,” When the roads that drive our economy and make modern life possible get too crowded or too congested, we expect the state to build new roads. When the old roads wear out, they are repaved.

When a tree or a landslide obstructs a thoroughfare, the state clears the way. When there are not enough classrooms, on the other hand, the state no longer builds new universities; it simply charges more” (Brady13). Families that are wealthy enough to go college may not be the only minds that should be going there. The US needs a variety of people to run the country.

Some of that variety may be in poorer parts of the country. College is an opportunity to enhance one’s self and should be available to every single citizen of the US.What the government is doing is not right to the citizens in the US. Citizens should be allowed to go to college without being charged.

If Universities are overpopulated the government does not make more colleges. They charge more to limit the amount of people that go to college. Making it impossible to afford an education. The government should focus on giving citizens the education they need.

A university charging as much as $8000 a year is just crazy. If there were no fees, loans, or tuition many citizens would have the opportunity to get a higher education without the stress of paying all the money plus interest back.Higher education is so costly that most people cannot pay it back and suffer from such a deep debt. “Knowledge should not come with a price tag.

I actually wish it was how it was back in the days when people were taught their professions by other people while on the job, or accepted into schools based on high marks. Winning a scholarship should be attainable to all people who do well academically” (“Should Higher Free Education Should Be Offered to All for Free? ” 1). Most people can’t even afford it because it cost so much.It causes both stress and pressure on people and that’s not what getting a higher education is about.

“They were explicitly chartered to bring a college degree within the reach of as many citizens as possible and to advance the greater good by disseminating knowledge as widely as possible. Without that common sense, that bipartisan consensus, our public universities would never have been built in the first place. And judged by that original standard, there are few, if any, public universities left” (Brady 14). It’s about going for a job that a person cares about, to make a living out of.

A person would not have so many burdens to carry if university education in the US was free. Everyone has the right to get a higher education. It is a person’s right to experience every aspect that college covers. “Free schools operate on the belief that true and genuine happiness is an essential part of a healthy life.

Just filling students with information or producing effective workers is not the underlying purpose of free schools. The deeper principle behind free schooling is for individuals to find their happiness, develop their skills, and create their own definitions of success” (“Free School” 49).When citizens have access to higher education they have endless opportunities that they can fulfill. They could be anything they want to be.

They could go into higher ranking jobs without worrying about the money they will owe. They can achieve any dream they ever had. This is their right as a citizen, to be the best that they can be. “It is a fundamental right of individuals to experience university and to have access to the knowledge it affords.

University offers a huge opportunity. It is a treasure trove of knowledge to be gained and experiences to be had” (“This House Believes University Education Should Be Free” 1).Every person has the right to get their education and to experience everything he or she needs in order to be the best citizen he or she can be. Citizens deserve the education they need in order to get to where they need to go.

They need to work on their skills and become as successful as they wish to be. The US is supposed to be a land of all possible opportunities but instead we turned into a land of debt (Emmons 14). One of the many opportunities citizens are allowed to do is to get a higher education. They should be able to go to a public University without paying a price for their education.

If the US truly wants a land of the free, education should be a part of that. The education of citizens is just another way for the government to make money. “In the US, higher education is seen as a privilege and not a right, but not everyone has that privilege and with the way higher education costs now, less and less people will be able to go. Sure there’s aid, but it’s not enough to cover the rising costs without putting students into an insane amount of debt” (“Should Higher Free Education Should Be Offered to All Free? 13).

The government sucks the people dry of every last dime the people have in order to make a profit. The government should support free higher education because many citizens would benefit from higher education. All citizens are allowed the right to become the person they would like to be. “The reason free schools abolished authority was to create not only a new environment in schools, but also a new society based on the voluntary heart and cooperation of free individuals.

They understood that education comes from a true desire to learn and a genuine curiosity to pursue knowledge through a variety of ways as well as book learning” (“Free Schoo”l 47). Citizens have the right to chase their own dreams in any way they can. To have that right blocked by a price just isn’t right. Citizens should be allowed freely into public universities to get the future that is wanted.

Free higher education can influence others to live better lifestyles. Many would not have to revert to drugs in order to free themselves of the life they currently have. Most citizens that get a higher education end up living a healthier lifestyle (Playdon 11). Also there is a less chance of obesity and smoking rates (Playdon 11).

“College-educated adults of all ages, and their children, are also less likely to be obese. In addition, mothers with higher levels of education spend more time with their children, regardless of whether they are employed or not” (Playdon 12). Mothers would be able to better support the family they have. They would spend more time with their children and give them a life that all mothers want for their children.

People would not go through depression because life would no longer be burden now that higher education was free. “Additional nonpecuniary benefits of higher education include psychological benefits derived from “the material well-being of individuals and the wealth of society”, and the increased likelihood of engaging in voluntary work and understanding political issues. And in terms of job satisfaction, 56% of workers aged 30 to 45 agree that their job keeps them learning, opposed to just over 30% with a high school diploma” (Playdon 13).Higher education would be a benefit to all.

For one, a person would be mentally stable and satisfied that there is a limitless amount of jobs for them to choose from. Free higher education, citizens would be able to make better choices on various political problems. Be able to play a more active role in our government to make the government better. “The most-measured benefit of higher education is of course graduate salaries, and the report confirms that higher levels of education do result in higher earning power.

It cites research by Greenstone and Looney (2011) of the Brookings Institution’s Hamilton Project, which says: “On average, the benefits of a four-year college degree are equivalent to an investment that returns 15. 2% per year” (Playdon 4). A person can get a higher earning power with free higher education and be able to support themselves after college. There would be no crushing debt to worry about after college was done.
