There are many reasons why obtaining a college degree will have such a strong influence on my life. A college education can open many doors in my life and my search for a career. For some individuals, going to college may seem like a waste of time and money. Although it does cost plenty of time and money, I believe college is worth going to. I want to better myself and my education and also to be able to have better job opportunities as well as being able to provide for myself and future family.
College education can be the key to an successful future. Education plays a vital role to a productive, good life. Not to mention an education is something I will be able to keep for a lifetime. The increase of knowledge I will receive the more choices and opportunities I’ll have. A college education will allow me to choose my career or what I would like to do in life. With having a degree it increases the amount of income you could possibly be making. With a good salary I will be able to afford a good home, clothing, food and other necessities of life. Education can expand your mind.
The more educational opportunities your exposed to, the more knowledge and skills you will be able to obtain. It makes us more independent and aware of what is going on in the world today, along with the awareness of opportunities and rights. It will offer a greater understanding of my capabilities and potential. So the benefits of education are endless. The personal satisfaction and feeling of accomplishment upon receiving a college degree is something I simply cannot wait to have for myself. As you can see, education is an essential element to a successful happy life. With the many opportunities of having a degree will bring me, I have every intention of continuing my schooling after high school so I am able to have and do everything I want to in life.
Also a big reason why I want to attend college is for better job opportunities. I will be spending a lot of time building my career; therefore, it is important that I choose a career path in something that I enjoy and perform well in. If I make myself aware of my choices by learning about each of my many options, I could be more satisfied with my career later in life. Nowadays, it is harder to get a “good” job without going to college. Having a college degree is a very important element on a job resume.
The social and life experiences I receive while away at college will be life changing. I will gain practical and valuable experiences while at college. Lastly one of my main reasons for wanting to attend college is to be able to provide for myself and my future family financially. After college I would love to be able to settle down and start a family knowing I’ve made a positive career choice. It would be nice to not have to worry if I will be able to support myself and not living pay check to pay check.
With a college degree these things could become reality for me. I believe it is essential to know what your goals and purposes are. If I want to be fortunate in my near future I will have to go beyond what is expected. I strongly believe success comes from the journey taken or path chosen. Success also comes from being prepared. As a student, I must step up to the challenge and find the path to success along the way. I must have the ability to prioritize and to motivate myself to stay on top of what needs to be done.
To sum up, I have talked about three reasons why I want to attend college and that doesn’t even dive into all the benefits and opportunities college will bring me. I hope college helps me realize the quality of life and the bright future I could have. With all that being said I can’t wait to start my freshman year at the University of Central Oklahoma next fall. The opportunities ahead of me are limitless and if I stay true to everything I have written, I will better myself and my education. I will also be able to have better job opportunities as well as being able to provide for myself and future family.
