Family is one thing that cannot be taken from me. My brother and sister have been there with me through thick and thin. My brother Jesse and sister Jocelyn are two of my closest friends and two of my worst enemies at some times. We can get along and share conversations about personal stuff, then switch into enemy mode and are the worst of enemies. My brother and sister are different and alike in many ways, which changes my relationship with each. Even though we fight, the good times replace the bad times and at the end of the day I still love them both.
Jesse is my younger brother, he is fifteen years old and was born May 8, 1994. At an early age he discovered and grew a passion for sports. He’s become a good athlete who loves to be active. At the age of six he began to play soccer and was on his first team. His passion for soccer has grown, as he gets older his passion for football has as well. He has been part of the football and soccer team at his high school and plays with friends as well. Along with his passion for sports he loves music. His favorite genres are Rap, Reggaeton, and Mexican music on his I-Pod.
He cannot live or go anywhere without it. Along with his passion for music is his hobbies and interests. He enjoys cooking at our family restaurant and has become a great cook over the years and enjoys cooking for family and friends. He also enjoys shoes, going to the gym, and is involved in DECA at school. As a person Jesse has goals to gain knowledge in further education. He strives to be better in everyday life and hopes to attend a community college in his future. Jesse is a nice, sweet, caring, helpful, and outgoing person.
He is a kid that gets along with everyone. My relationship with him is very open. We can discuss every topic in our lives, including our deepest secrets. We usually get along but can have our moments where we hate each other with every ounce of blood in our bodies. We can scream and argue, but we love each other and can’t ever break the bond we share. He is my closest guy friend and I feel I can confide in him with anything, including my life. Jocelyn is my younger sister, she is 14 years old and was born February 15, 1996.
Her interests include school and clubs such as ASB, ABID, and leadership. Outside of school she is a volunteer at the YMCA and does community service. She has always been involved in school activities and has been an active leader in her class. Jocelyn also enjoys shopping. She loves to smell pretty and be all dolled up for the boys. She loves to dance and loves singing. On her spare time, I can find her drawing in her room for hours on end. On weekend Jocelyn babysits our little cousins to earn extra money, she loves our little cousins and the great adventures they share.
When it comes to sports, she isn’t a sports fanatic but enjoys playing soccer with friends and has been actively on the school team. Jocelyn can be a moody snob at moments. She does not go out of her way to get someone else’s attention, if a person doesn’t talk to her, then she will not talk to them. She is a loud, obnoxious, and a straight up type of girl. My relationship with her is very hostile, but we have grown closer over the last few years. When we fight it feels as if we have knifes to each other’s necks. We fight over the smallest and stupidest things.
We don’t really share our secrets but we can always count on each other with major problems. Jocelyn is very smart; she currently is running for Vice President of her school. She hopes to attend a four-year university and become a Chemical Engineer. Jesse and Jocelyn are different in so many ways. They each have their own interests and are involved in different activities but also share a lot. Both do enjoy playing soccer. Jocelyn only likes to listen to her hip-hop music, a genre Jesse enjoys. Both love to watch comedy movies and enjoy Adam Sandler.
Going to a movie on weekends is something both enjoy, even though they don’t go together they still go with friends. Both also enjoy movie nights at home and spending the night at friend’s houses. Each has a very outgoing personality as well, Jesse talks and meets new people where as Jocelyn can get in front of large groups of people and speak. And lets not forget the love live. Jesse is wild about his girlfriend whom he began to date on the same day Jocelyn began to date her boyfriend three months ago. Each is very similar in many ways. Jesse is my sports fanatic brother who loves to play sports and be active.
We can get along and share our secrets. Jocelyn is the stuck up little brat that always needs to get her way. Overall she is a good girl but two girls in the house don’t always see toe to toe. Jesse and Jocelyn share a lot in common but are also so very different and that’s what makes them who they are. I can share and confide in Jesse with everything where as in Jocelyn I can’t share my personal life and trust she won’t tell anyone. I love my family and I love my brother and sister, they are very close to me and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us.
