First, you need to know exactly how many slices you want. For one person, two eggs are required to make at least three to four slices of French toast. However, if you wish to make six to eight, then you will need four eggs to make the batter.

After you have decided how on many slices of French toast you want, you will now need to gather your ingredients and utensils the ingredients you’ll need are eggs, bread, butter, grounded cinnamon, pure vanilla extract, and milk (depending on how you like your eggs). For utensils, you’ll need a bowl, an eggbeater (or fork), a frying pan, a spatula, a measuring cup, and a measuring spoon. Now that you have what you need to make French toast, you are ready to begin. First, you will be scrambling your eggs as though you making scrambled eggs. Be sure that the eggs are well beaten.

If you like milk in your eggs, you can add ? cup of milk into the eggs to make them fluffier and beat well. Next, you’re going to add pure vanilla extract to the mix. Using the measuring spoons, add two to three tablespoons of the extract into the batter and beat well again. This next step is a little tricky. You are going to be adding the cinnamon to your batter now. There are two ways to do this. One, you can add small portions of cinnamon to the eggs as you beat in the mixture. You may have to add more as you dunk your slices of bread into the mixture.

Or, you can irst dunk the bread into the eggs and coat well on both sides. Then, sprinkle cinnamon on Page 2 one side of the bread and place it into the pan with melted butter with the cinnamon side down. Then sprinkle more cinnamon on the top side, as it has none. When you go to let the butter melt in the pan, make sure that all sides of the pan is coated with the butter. Also, make sure that the heat of the stove is at least halfway to the highest point of heat. Of course, that may depend on what kind of you have. Once the butter is completely melted and the coated bread is in the pan, you MUST keep a close ye on the toast.

Make sure that the first is thoroughly cooked. Once the first side crisped (or a bit burned), flip the toast over so that the other side may be cooked as well. Once you have finished cooking your French toast, you can have the option of pouring syrup on top of them, or you can sprinkle some confectioner’s sugar (powdered sugar) on your French toast instead. You could even do both if you like. You would just have to sprinkle the powdered sugar first before pouring syrup on the toasts. As for the leftover eggs, you have the option of throwing the leftover batter away or se it to make your own unique scrambled eggs. Just simply use the same pan that you used for the toast and pour the leftover batter of eggs into the pan. Make sure that both sides are thoroughly cooked. Now you can have a special and unique breakfast or brunch of your own. Once you taste the delightful dish, it will surely leave you thinking of the ‘good old days’. Of when you couldn’t wait to taste your mother’s home cooked brunch, and loving every bit of it. No doubt that it will let you forget that it was you who made this special dish, instead of your mother.
