My name is Kelsey for anyone who doesn’t know me, I am Briana’s maid of honor. I’d like to start by congratulating Mr. and Mr. Dobek, and I must say you both look amazing! Thanking you all for being here today to celebrate the new beginning of their marriage! I also wanted to say special thanks to Briana and Justin parents for this beautiful reception. It’s truly a grand day to be here today, celebrating there new beginning together as husband and wife. Briana and I have been friends for over 15 years now. Time sure flew right by.
It all began back in grade school where we met on the playground during recess, I can remember it like it was yesterday. We always kept in touch and remained friends throughout the memorable high school years and even into the 1st few years of college. but the time eventually came and I had to say good bye, at least for the time-being, It was the first time in 15 years we wouldn’t be living in the same zip code . Thank god for Skype We have been by each others side through the bad times and we have lent each other support through our struggles.
We have also been there for one another through all the good times too and made amazing memories along the way. When Briana asked me to be the maid of honor I was delighted and honored but I had forgot that with being the maid of honor comes a speech. Being a shy person I tried to think of a way out of it but, has anyone ever tired saying no to Briana? Since no wasn’t and option for me I did some research on what I was going to say and heres what I found. – “ Some people say that before marriage a man holds a woman’s hand -its love, after marriage its self defense”.
I also heard that “marriage is the only war that you actually sleep with the enemy”. And lastly the best was to remember a anniversary is forget it just once. ” On the other hand, when I see Briana and Justin together the love that they show to each other is inspiring and beautiful and I look forward to seeing it continue to grow. I wanted to say I couldn’t be more happier for either of you. You are honestly perfect for each other. I am so glad that you have found some one to spend the rest of your life with.
Justin I couldn’t ask for a better man to take care of my best friend . You so nice, easy to talk to and you have a great sense of humor like Briana. I know you will take great care of her. and Always remember to say those three important little words… “You’re right dear. ” If you’re clever, you’ll always have the last word. However, if you are very clever, you won’t use it. I’m so happy for both of you and feel blessed to share this amazing day with you. Here’s to Briana and Justin!
