Summary

During the Eid holidays, my family and I visited Abha, the capital of Asir state, which is located about 2,200 meters above sea level. The journey from Dammam to Abha was long, covering a distance of 1,450 kilometers and a temperature range from 47 degrees Celsius to 15 degrees Celsius. The most interesting part of the trip was that my grandparents accompanied us. We started our journey at 5:00 AM and reached Khamis Mushayt at 7:00 PM, which was 25 kilometers away from Abha. On the second day, we visited Al Habalah Mountain, also known as the Hanged Village, which is a popular tourist destination in Abha. We parked our car on top of Habalah and took a cable car to reach the village. We spent four hours exploring the area and enjoying the natural scenery. Later that day, we visited the 11 tunnels in Abha – Makkah path. On the third day, we went to Al Saudah, the highest mountain in KSA, which is about 10,000 feet high from sea level and 75 kilometers away from Abha. We enjoyed the cable car service and explored the area. On our way back, we saw many farms with delicious fruits. On the fourth day, we visited Abha dam, which holds 2.13 million cubic meters of water. We also watched a dolphin show near the dam and explored the Green Mountain. We visited a heritage museum below the Green Mountain at night. On the fifth day, we safely returned home after a memorable trip. Overall, it was a great experience for all of us.
