Ashley Salas is my name, and at this a point of my life, I am assured I want to a cardiovascular surgeon. I want to pursue my life in the medical field when I graduate from high school because I’m so intrigued by medicine.
Actions I need to take to achieve great success in life to reach my goals are, I will be required to attend classes in high school such as chemistry, biology, human anatomy, physics, and calculus. I then will go on to college and major in a pre-medical course and get a four-year bachelor’s degree in biology or chemistry. Next, I will take and pass the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT). After passing the MCAT as well as graduating from college I will go to medical school and get into a one-year internship, and a residency program.
I have considered becoming an exchange student and advancing my career outside of the United States. I desire to go to Europe and resume all my required classes there. I aspire to possibly get the chance to go to a college there and getting my medical license in Europe.
I admire the medical world with a passion, I value it because I want to save a life and forget the pain of losing someone I love. I want to learn all I possibly can about medicine. I believe surgery is an art and the surgeon is the artist. I perceive the practice of medicine to be so fascinating.
The heart is my favorite organ which is why I want to specialize in it, I want to hold a heart in my hands one day and perform surgery on one. I want to be able to save the lives of thousands. I want to save as many people as I possibly can throughout my career. I want to save the lives of people who are on the verge of dying, I will do so by also training to be a trauma surgeon specialized in cardio. I want to be the surgeon who saved someone’s mom, dad, grandpa, sister, etc. I want to feel the adrenaline of holding someone’s life in my hands.
My name is Ashley Salas and I want to spend my life learning to save others so that one day I will get to fulfill my dream of becoming a Cardiovascular Surgeon. I want to fulfill my eagerness of saving lives and operating on patients. I want to give people faith and do everything I possibly can for patients, so they may live a happy and healthy life. I acknowledge my purpose in this life is to save others.
