I would be willing to move if my career would required me to move. I would move because I am willing to do anything to achieve my goals and my dreams. It will be worth it once I become someone in life, yes it will be a little hard and it will take time but it will all pay of at the end once I have reached my destination. I am willing to work hard, go to school, and everything else that it would require for me to do. Anything to reach my dreams.

Pediatricians write many prescriptions each day. These prescriptions include medicines ranging from antibiotics and cough and cold medicines to drugs to treat asthma and allergies, and the dosages for most of these medications are determined by a child’s weight. when a Pediatrician writes a prescription for amoxicillin for a child’s ear infection, she has to first consider the child’s weight and the medication’s dosage. For amoxicillin, that standard dosage is 45mg/kg divided in a twice a day dosage. Pediatricians also use math to calculate a child’s rate of intravenous fluids.

There are many other calculations that Pediatricians do on a regular basis when taking care of their patients. Once of the most well known of these calculations is the one used to calculate a child’s body mass index, which can help determine if they are overweight, underweight, or at a healthy weight. Pediatricians need to use math for many things. For example, in medicine, calculations are done using the metric system, so pediatricians need to know how to convert measurements. Also, to give out dosages, they need to use math. Body mass index is also another reason they need math. Many more things have math involved.

Calculus is the most widely spread math course required for admittance into the specialized medical program of pediatrics. Calculus is the strand of math that is based upon limits, functions, derivatives, integrals and infinite series. Medicine is a field that is heavily influenced by calculations. There are several math classes that must be completed before becoming a pediatrician. I learned many things about my future profession doing this assignment. For example I learned that to be a pediatrician you have to learn math. Also learned where are the best schools to study to become a pediatrician.

The thing that interested me the most was how much a pediatrician earns. I learned that they don’t only work with children but also adolescents. My 10 year plan is to first finish high school. I am a junior this year and going to be a senior next year. I plan to graduate with my class of 2014. In order for me to graduate and reach my goal I have to work hard, do all my work, projects, to make good grades and to stay on task. After I leave and graduate high school, I plan to go to college. I’m not sure yet what college I would like to attend but I am looking forward to looking up colleges or even getting accepted to many colleges.

I would like to attend college and get me a decent job, and live a normal college girl life. I want to attend college in either California, Florida, or Atlanta Georgia. Also, I see myself finishing college and becoming a pediatrician. One I finish college and get my degree to become a pediatrician I will get my own apartment with a roommate. I wouldn’t see myself married until I am 28. I would first like to succeed and focus on my career. At the end I know I will be living my dreams and becoming a pediatrician like I have always wanted to. I cant wait to become a pediatrician and achieve my dreams.
