Not all colourss are the consequence of minus and add-on of visible radiation. Some colourss like the blue sky consequence from the selective sprinkling of the colourss of visible radiation by atoms in the ambiance. The colour scattered by the atoms depends on the size of the atoms themselves.

BLUE SKYViolet is scattered more than blue ; our eyes are non really sensitive to violet. The scattered blue visible radiation predominates. so we see the sky as blue. The Color of the sky varies with the conditions of the ambiance. On yearss when the ambiance contains H2O vapour. atoms of dust. and others bigger than N and O. the sky appears less bluish compared to unclutter dry yearss. Why do we hold Blue Sky?

The bluish colour of the sky is due to Rayleigh dispersing. As light moves through the ambiance. most of the longer wavelengths base on balls straight through. Little of the ruddy. orange and xanthous visible radiation is affected by the air. However. much of the shorter wavelength visible radiation is absorbed by the gas molecules. The captive bluish visible radiation is so radiated in different waies. It gets scattered all around the sky. Whichever way you look. some of this scattered blue visible radiation reaches you. Since you see the bluish visible radiation from everywhere operating expense. the sky looks bluish. Red Sunset

The sky around the puting Sun may take on many colourss. The most dramatic shows occur when the air contains many little atoms of dust or H2O. These atoms reflect visible radiation in all waies. Then. as some of the light caputs towards you. different sums of the shorter wavelength colourss are scattered out. You see the longer wavelengths. and the sky appears ruddy. tap or orange. Why is the Sunset Red?

As the Sun begins to put. the light must go farther through the ambiance before it gets to you. More of the visible radiation is reflected and scattered. As less ranges you straight. the Sun appears less bright. The colour of the Sun itself appears to alter. first to orange and so to red. This is because even more of the short wavelength blues and leafy vegetables are now scattered. Merely the longer wavelengths are left in the direct beam that reaches your eyes. WHITE CLOUDS

The whiteness of the clouds is due to visible radiation of all colourss being dispersed by the water/ice of the clouds. Clouds rather a distance off appear xanthous due to the bluish wavelengths being dispersed more than the xanthous and ruddy wavelengths by the air and atoms in the air ( the ‘clear’ sky is bluish! ) Not all clouds are pure white ; nevertheless. for those that are white. it is due to their height and the contemplation of sunshine. For illustration. a cirrhus cloud has an height of about 8km above sea degree. At such utmost heights all high-ranking clouds are made up merely of ice crystals. as the H2O vapour from which they are ab initio formed has frozen. Why is the Clouds White?

The ice crystals reflect sunshine. When winging above clouds during the twenty-four hours. they are ever bright white. When we get dark clouds. they are so thick that they soak up most of the sunshine or reflect it upwards. and so things aren’t as bright below. Storm clouds are the thickest clouds. and look the darkest from down below. though they still look bright white if we see them from above. Gray colour of the clouds is caused by higher clouds projecting their shadow on lower-based clouds. or that the clouds are so heavy that their top parts absorb most of the sunshine. projecting their ain shadow along their base. doing them dark on the underside.

DecisionTherefore I conclude that non all are the consequence of minus and add-on of visible radiation. Some colourss like the blue sky consequence from selective sprinkling of the colourss of visible radiation by atoms in the ambiance. The colour scattered by the atoms depends on the size of the atoms themselves.
