The slide of the medical professional, she did seem to be very well put together. Her hair was kempt, her scrubs seemed ironed and free of wrinkles, and had very little makeup. She was also prepared with her theosophy and from what I perceived, a good attitude. All of these components combined she is a polished and professional medical professional; I do not see anything that I could deem unprofessional. Part 2 – Personal Reflection and Connection: My current field of staff development/human resources, it’s important that I present myself the way that I expect my students and graduates to present themselves to employers.

This includes speaking intelligently, refraining from using slang, profanity, and jargon; using these things can make me seem uneducated, and not knowledgeable of the topic at hand. Physical presentation is another component; ensuring my appearance is kempt, hair is tidy and clothes are not too tight or too loose and free of wrinkles. Despite having a pristine appearance and presentation, none of this will matter if I am unprepared for business meeting or interviews. Having all materials and documents in order to have a successful meeting or interview, is imperative to remain a professional in my field. Organization is key.
