Discussions

The lesson plan has been found to be in line with the requirements of strategic ways in which learning should be imparted to the learners.  This is because the lesson plan has managed to capture the needs of the learners through application of concepts developed by cognitive theory.  The learners are therefore expected to be able to capture all the skills and also to retain the knowledge which will help them to be able to apply this knowledge any time they are required to.

First and foremost, the lesson plan has indicated the use of big charts which demonstrates all the concepts of the lesson.  This will help the learners be able to capture information as they observe from their group discussions and from the demonstrations provided by each group leader.  The charts are acting as visual aids which are observable by all the learners and they are therefore in a position to assimilate the information which is given to them.  This helps the students to be able to observe what the charts have stressed on and thus the learners achieve great knowledge by observing the charts as a set of required example.

The lesson gives the learners a chance to be rewarded for any successful attempts of the trials given to them.  This is one of the points which have been stressed by the cognitive theory which has been found to help individuals to be able to assimilate information given after observing that there are positive rewards experienced (Miller, 2005).  This helps the learners to rely heavily on the various rewards expected from the lessons thus all learns engage in competition to achieve the expected rewards.  This type of competition have been observed to be very important to learners for it helps the learners to be able to aim at being the best over all.

On the other hand, there are steps noting the consequences of failure in the lesson plan.  This on its own has made the learners to always be attentive to all details of the lesson so that they can avoid any failure.  Miller (2005) discussed how learners manage to achieve the expected results because of fear of failure which may be reflected by several things with an example of punishment.  The learners fear to be punished and therefore work hard to be able to understand all information they are required to master.

In relation to the way the knowledge is passed to the learners, the first step has been seen to be the introduction of the lesson to the learners by the teacher.  This has been shown to be done by use of various charts showing simple information of the lesson to the learners.  This help the learners to perceive the lesson as simple and therefore get ready to achieve great success from the lesson.  After that all learners are expected to form groups of 5 which will help the to discuss issues by combining their knowledge about the lesson together.  Group presentations are afterwards required from all the various groups where the group leaders will have a chance to discuss the issues observed during the discussions and highlight any recommendations to be made for the improvement of knowledge gained.

There is clear explanation on the way all learners are expected to achieve and on what the learners are supposed to do by what date.  The learners have been provided a chance to perform group projects and present the work to the class to help the whole class be able to achieve the various objectives.  This consequently is expected to help the individuals to be able to come up with their final project which shall be used for their assessment.

Finally it is paramount to mention that the learners were guided on the need for this topic where they were informed that the topic was a basic which could not be skipped.  All learners were expected to successfully complete this topic so as to be able to enrol for other marketing lessons.  This therefore helped to prepare the students to get ready to complete the topic without failure so that they can progress in their studies.
