Due to the fact that Hemingway want s to capture real fife, he portrays the disorientation of people postwar. As seen through his chaw racier “Jake” in the novel The Sun Also Rises, he does not hold back any gruesome or somber details of these people, for the purpose of revealing real life in fiction (Bloom). Hemmingway work creates a light or spark of realization of the world to his re adders (Modeling). This is apart of his overall movement at this point in time.

In his stories, he tries to get the feeling of actual life across, so the reader can fully experience it (Dub s).

According to Andre Dubs Ill: Ernest Hemingway, a writer whose daily surrendering of himself to his novels and Tories and the lives being lived inside them achieves precisely what he hoped it would, to “make it alive”, which, miraculously, still has the enduring power to make us more alive in that precious allotment of time we are all given on this Earth.

By this, he means to explain Hemingway impact on the people he is writing f or. Not only does he capture life in his writing, but he also uses influences from his own life to r elate his stories to real life (Spanner).

Many of his writings, like The Sun Also Rises, represents the life Hemingway lived and enjoyed. He includes his personal values and relates his characters to his cultural or cantonal past. Since he does this, he has the ability to bring mortality to his writ ting. He had a different opinion than others about the cruelties of the world. He described t he treacheries quite differently from anything else which one remembers in a similar connection ( Bloom). Hemingway provides specific “mythological” methods in his writing, which real test him to modernist (Bloom 33).

An element of modernist writing is heroism. Heroes m is present in his major works, as he creates wounded, psychologically fragile, deprecatory death characters, that go through life despite it all (Dubs). This modernist element increased a assurance and success in the majority of his writings. Hemingway mostly focuses on the barb rarity and tragedies of war. It is his overall theme for one of his most prized novels, The Sun Also R sis. It is seen that the title infers to the lost generation, saying almost directly that “you are all a I Cost generation” (Bloom 28).

Also through Hemmingway writings, there are connections to Catch logic and Christian writers with the presence of mystery and the possibility of evil. He u sees this as a tool for his readers to believe what he is writing (Nickel). One of the most persistent themes of the twenties was the death of love in W RL War Hemingway caught and delivered the postwar scene in his lasting fiction (Bolo m 42). His personal experiences living in Paris gave his extended knowledge of the city a ND the overall “Lost Generation”, which is apparent in his writing.

Examples Of his personal e experience is seen in the dialogue between characters in his novels. And the way they speak of the e city, showing Hemmingway credibility for living there. In The Sun Also Rises, dialogue like HTH s is what proves his personal experiences: “l don’t know. You never know in this town. ” “Don’t you like Paris? ” “NO. ” “Why don’t you go somewhere else? ” Isn’t anywhere else. ” “You’re happy, all right. ” “Happy, hell! ” (2223) Hemingway directly states that “You are all a lost generation” in one of his wow arks (Bloom 52).

This statement shows violence and integrity in his writing, giving him a strong re edge to his place as voice of the “Lost Generation” Throughout his many works, the personal experiences, tragedies, and real life stories Ernest Hemingway uses, he gives himself a voice in the “Lost Generation”. Not only does it give him a voice, but it makes him THE voice. He takes the meaning of being the “L cost Generation”, and captures it in eternal fiction for all to relive.
