Symbolism contributes to the subjects authorization and power in King Lear.

These symbols are represented by material things. For illustration. in [ Act 1 scene 1 ] when Lear is spliting up his land. power and authorization to his three girls. depending on how much they can verbally show their love for him. [ Lines 52-53 ] ‘Which of you shall state doth love us most?
